My tom tomtom wont pick up a valid GPS signal

Firstly, are you indoors or in a garage? TomTom needs a good uninterrupted signal to get a clean GPS pickup.
Have you done any updates lately as they have a 'GPS Fix' each time which updates satellites and their possible positions?

It doesn't find a satellite signal

Usually, it takes longer to find the satellite signa if you are indoors, under structures and/or don't have a clear "line of sight" to the satellites in the sky, assuming you're in a (geographical) area where there's usable satellites .... e.g. not in the middle of the Ocean.
If you are not experiencing these conditions, and it still take a long time, it will help if you download and install the latest QuickGPSFix update from the TomTom website, using HOME (software).

My tomtom is not receiving any satellite signal

You should use your computer to update the QuickFix positions of the Satellites (they do wander in the sky). To get signals you should be outside buildings with an unobstructed view to the sky.

My tomtom one gps can't get signal

When was the last time you updated the QuickFix of your TomTom? It helps your GPS to find the satellites.
Please, do the following:
1) Install "TomTom Home" software in your computer from www.tomtom.com
2) Start TomTom Home in your computer
3) Plug in the GPS dock to your computer's USB port and place the GPS on the dock. The green light on the bottom right of the GPS should turn ON to indicate that the GPS is getting power from the dock and charging
4) Start your GPS while being in the dock. If the GPS asks "do you want to connect to computer" answer "YES"
5) The TomTom Home software will detect the GPS and check if there are any updates for it. Then you'll be offered updates to install. Some are free, some are not. Be sure you choose to update "QuickFix".
Please, report back if you need further assistance

Tomtom not getting a valid GPS signal. Not picking up any satelitte signals at all.And yes I am outside, and fully charged and keep getting a prompt waiting for a valid GPS Signal.Tomtom is 1 yearand 1...

This is a common issue with TomTom software in general!
To alleviate this issue, Tomtom has released QuickGPS add-on to locate satellites faster. If you have not got it loaded to your device, download the appropriate version of QuickGPS from the TomTom site and make sure you use TomTom Home (connected to the Web and your device) to update both your MAP and QuickGPS on a regular basis.

Hope it helps: let me know how you go and good luck!

My tomtom cant find any satellites and keeps saying waiting on valid gps signal......

check the port is set to 8
not sure if your model has GPS search wher it finds the port and vbaude automativcally, if it does use it and see if that fixes it if not
your battery is too low
you have a damaged SIIRF chip and that is expensive to repair

My tomtom xl cannot pick up a signal

After updates it takes about 45 seconds before it will do anything again and sometimes it won't pick up satellites. I switch it off then on again and it is usually OK even after that but sometimes it needs to be on the move before it recognises satellites.
