52 error is scanner related not formatter. HP has had issues with some serial number ranges of this printer having bad scanners which they will replace. You should contact HP regarding this problem.

The problem is usually caused by printing a PDF file with fonts/page size/ page formating errors which will cause the printer to display the 49.3048 error. The only way to use the printer is to POR or recycle the power and delete the print job from the server or spooling device and cancel it on the printer before the offending command is issued to the printer again. You can try updating the firmware to the latest version 46.140.5 from the HP website. MIke L.
and this: power on your printer, after you see processing data the second time, press cancel. Everytime I have seen this error is because the user tries to print a PDF file that is corrupt. This has worked for me in the past. Good luck!
