Gigabyte b49g wont link with wireless extender

Universal wifi range extender wn2000rptv2 link light wont come on, can connect to either router or extender but they wont link

First, Keep in mind that you bring the device into the same room as your wireless router.Use NETGEAR, Linksys Router.
second, Green LED on the extender is showing green to be able to get the optimum performance on your devices.
third, if not get it than just reset to factory defaults
then manually changed the security settings for your router .

You will need to reconfigure your extender, check the manual or online at the link bellow.
Since your extender is not working your range is diminished.

Netgear ext

Once the range extender is in "discover" mode it will find your existing wireless network. It will then take the name of it and add '_ext' to it. giving you a second wireless network. For instance, if your wireless network was called my-house, the extender would create one called my-house_ext.

Log in to router via browser at: 192.168.1.1
At login and password promt enter
login: admin
password: admin

Navigate from left pane: Advanced setup -> LAN
Enter there you'r new ip: 192.168.2.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
