Well, that thing with rice will not help, trust me..First of all you need to go to some Moble service, or if you have right tools (precisius screws), you can open it and then you will see what happen inside...there will be lot of ocsidation because of water...dont touch it hard, some components will fall of if they are destroyed to much...but if they are not you can use Isoprophile or some alcohol and with some easy brush you can gently cross over every peice of component and do that few times...if that dont work then you need do dissasembly all components and put phone board in ultrasonic device..hope thats help you..

Regards,
Jovan.

SOURCE: My wife's LG 8550 got wet and now won't power on

usually you remove back and take out card, gently dont force any parts try drying with hair dryer on low heat for 10 - 15 minutes then let air dry for at least 5 days , sometimes this will work but charging may have damaged the unit ,you may have to contact the manufacturer, good luck

SOURCE: Wet phone...

Friend, Base from my experienced as a mobile technician. This is based from my experimentation and i got it very succesful. I've been using for how many years and perfect no failure. It is very Easy.Friend remove the battery.dissasemble your phone.separate the plastics and the metal ones. Those plastics parts you may clean it with cloth.while the metal parts.you need to soke that in a "lacquer thinner"the one being use for enamel paint. Put the thinner on a glass container and then all the metal parts.you soke it for 3 hrs.or more if you want.it will not damage. Thinner will remove all the water and other dirt on the parts of the mainboard. and since it can easily be dry thats why we are using it. After soking you let the part dry.after about 1 hr.or if you hair dryer or electic fan you may use it to dy the parts. After drying you assemble the unit firmly and carefully. And 100% it will work again.but donot use the battery anymore replace it with new one.good luck

SOURCE: phone got wet & works fine but says network error

Cell phones do not recover gracefully from getting wet internally. The electronics were not made to get wet.
You would be better served to get a new phone. Getting a cell phone wet is almost alway death to the electronics, even if the phone is dried out completely, The problems caused by the damp electronics will cause strange and intermittent problems.

SOURCE: iphone got wet. camera shutter is stuck closed

you might have a lot of corrosion inside your phone.

try to open it up and clean it very well with alcohol.

the main camera does not work probably because of corrosion on its connector to the main board.

see the picture I took a few days ago:

My bushnell v4 got wet, will it work if it dries out

These rangefinders are typically rain-proof, but not waterproof. If you do get your Bushnell V4 wet, it's best to put it in rice as soon as possible to dry it out. It's not guaranteed that it will work again, however.

Dropped htc windows phone in water any tips

Turn it off and remove the battery pronto. Next, fill a zip-lock bag with rice. Lay the bag down flat and set the phone inside the bag, resting on top of the rice. Seal the bag, and leave it that way for two days. The rice will absorb the moisture in the phone, and if you're lucky, it'll be completely fine.

Htc rhyme wont recognize sd card

Try the SD card in your computer, see if it is corrupted. If not, copy the files off of it and then re-format it - then try it in your phone.
If that does not work, try a fresh SD card in the phone (maybe borrow one?)
If that fails too, it may well be that the internal SD card reader in the phone has gone bad.

Phone got wet in salt water-let it air dry for 4 days-sim card ok-top screen works-when flip phone open-other screen lights-up but is blank-can't pull-up menu-when put battery in-phone...

Hi,
Take the phone and place it in a bad of minute rice....the rice will pull the remaining moisture out of the phone... however the corrosive nature of saltwater may have left deposits inside the phone that are causing it to malfunction...it may never work correctly again... but try the rice before giving up on it...even the rice may take a few days to work...

My htc g1 got slightly wet. I dried it out, and now when i try to turn it on, the screen doesn't light up, but the light at the top comes on blue

The screen sounds like it has been damaged. Are you sure you have totally died it out?
First remove the battery, Then put it in a bowl of dry rice. The rice absorbes the moisture. Leave it in there for upto 24hours if its still not working try using a vacuum cleaner to **** up any remaining moisture.
