I've paid for your service but have still not received an answer. (invoice #268236) I have a sylvania 6720FDF 20" TV (triple combo). the vcr won't work. when i put in a tape it'll immediately spit...
there are a number of things that can cause this.
If there's something as simple as a penny underneath the tape loading area (anywhere the tape sits when fully loaded) the sensor that tells the vcr that the tape is fully down won't register, and the unit will spit the tape back out.
there is an optical sensor that goes into a hole that you can see on the bottom of any tape, and if either the emitter (the light bulb) or the detector (which detects the light from the emitter) isn't functional, it'll think the mechanism loaded without a tape in it, and will spit it out.
If the loading mechanism for any other reason doesn't go all the way down, if the unit is unable to spin the heads or if the mechanism that winds the tape around the head can't move, it'll spit out the tape.
This by the way is a free answer, if you paid for an answer and didn't get one, ask for a refund, we do have a refund policy.
if you paid for a year or something like that, I don't know how that works, but I hope I have helped you.
If you are still stuck after checking all the things I mentioned, please post a reply to this post and I will try to assist you further.
