I cant log in to my d-link router

If you have not set up the router with a new user name and password it is:
username: Admin
Password:
If you have changed this information and cant remember it, there is a reset button on the back of the router; push it in for about 20 seconds with the power on. This will reset the router to factory defaults and allow you to log in with the above information.

Here is the procedure to reset the system to factory default:
To use the restore settings button:
1. Locate the restore factory settings button on the rear panel of the router.
2. Use a sharp object such as a pen or a paper clip to press and hold the restore factory settings
button for about 5 seconds, until the Power light begins to blink.
3. Release the restore factory settings button, and wait for the router to restart, and for the Power
light to stop blinking and become solid green.
The factory default settings will be restored so that you can access the router from your Web
browser using the factory defaults.

Please provide more information as to you issue such as :
a. model number
b. year manufactured/firmware updated
c.Are you using router wirelessly or hard connected.
d. You have checked the user manual 1st.
e. You have confirmed that you have connectivity with the ISP ( internet service provider)
f. uninstall/ reinstall the router software with the CD provided from the manufacturer.

This issue is possibly due to a configuration problem
1.Log into router
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.

Hi do you mean log in to change routers settings or connect to the network which is broadcast by router. If you mean first log in to router settings etc. If your old password don't work you should find a reset button somewhere on router if you press it it will take router to default settings and you can use default user name and password to log in. If you mean connecting to the network you should go to the settings of your router connect to the router by network cable and put 198.162.1.1 in your internet browser put your username and password (which you can find in manual or on internet (just google "D-Link DI-624M Router default username password) and check what password is and change if you like. You should find it in wireless----> security settings. Good luck and please don't forget to let me know if that was any helpful.

hardwire any computer to one of the wired ports in the router...
type 192.168.2.1 in any web browser and log in to router setup utility manually....
password....leave it blank and click submit..
now you can configure settings manually....

If you have access to the router, go to http://192.168.1.1 and change the password to one you know. It is in Wireless and Security settings. Log in is admin and password is a blank.

you have to log on to the router and under the WAN mode, you should have the option of changing the MTU. IF you have not made changes to the router settings, type http://192.168.0.1 in your browser . In the page that comes up, type in username as admin and no password.
This should take you to the browser login page.
