Try pressing the display button.

Its the CCD unit. You will have to take it into Best Buy or a camera shop to see what the cost is to fix it.

A few possiblities:
This could be the CCD block, or the image processor area, or failure in the memory. These are just a few examples.

The service tech will change the defective boards and parts, and then go through the calibration procedure.

The LCD will not show the picture until you put the ribbon all the way inside the connector

There is no setting on the camera. I would recommend checking to see what resolution your online site has set for max resolution. Also, make sure that you are not just downloading thumbnails to your computer instead of the actual image file. I really recommend using Microsoft camera scanner wizard to save pictures into a my pictures folder. Have never had any trouble with that program. Hope that helps.

have you any software that came with the camera cds?.
have they been installed on to pc.
open them up when camera plug in to pc and see if it detects the pics .
