Card stopped working... now reads 0 used- 0 available

I use my Sandisk 2gb mini SD in my Verizon phone to store music and photos... I had some where's around 500 pics of shows I have worked in the last 4 months. I was working at the NBA Finals taking pics when I was informed that my memory was full... after checking found that phone was storing pics to self, and not card anymore. When I tried to switch it phone did not read card... card showed 0mb storage available and 0mb used. after crying over the loss of many great photos when I went to Verizon, was told to just reformat the card... when I try to, it says formatting, then FAIL pops up. WTF happened to my card? guessing I'll need a new one, but am open to ideas of what occurred, as to prevent it from happening in the future. Thanks!

Hello,

There are a few utilities available on the internet that may be able to recover at least some of your files, even after you tried to format. I have used this program several times to retrieve customer data from damaged memory cards. I hope this helps.

Where can I insert my mini sandisk memorycard into my toshiba laptop? I see no slots for it.

If you have no SD slot on your laptop, you will have to buy an external USB SD reader. They typically cost $5-$10, and are readily available online (e.g. http://www.buy.com/prod/micro-sd-sdhc-card-usb-reader-for-1gb-2gb-4gb-8gb/q/sellerid/23962916/loc/101/213271933.html) or in almost any store with a good selection of electronics.

I have a T-Mobile G1 with a micro sd card; trying to sync??

most mini sd cards come with a full-sized sd card adapter that the mini slips into. You can then slip that in your computer if you have an sd slot or sd reader.
You can also buy very inexpensively, a usb port mini sd reader that you can plug directly into your usb port on your computer. Then after you'v dragged and dropped the files, you can put the mini sd back in your phone.

Micro sd card not working

I'm having the same problem with a Transcend 4GB microSDHC card / microSD adapter. I have also found it probably has something to do with the card reader...either the card reader is an SD card reader trying to read an SDHC card OR the card reader is not able to read high-gigabyte SD cards (over 1 GB in some cases).

2gb sd card but available only 1gb

levyveress,
Well you have a 1GB SD card, there are roughly 1,073,741,824 bytes max per gig. They vary slightly from USB flash drives it total bytes, but the number should be 1,930 (or something close) MB for the 2Gig SD card, bring it back it may have been mislabeled on the packaging.

Micro SD 2 GB just stopped working

The PIC or EEPROM inside these cards may not be working. I guess you best bet is to buy a new one try Kingston brand or go with another Sandisk.
