Sounds like the thermistor is bad. Several ways to test.

1: Place the end of the thermistor that is located inside the refrigerator into a glass of slushy water and read the ohms resistance on the plug end which is located on the back of the refrigerator. Google the ohms resistance chart for Dometic thermistors and compare your readings to the chart. If they are not in range then the thermistor is bad and needs to be replaced.

2: Unplug the thermistor from the circuit board. It will be the harness that has only two wires going into a hard plastic plug. Leave it unplugged for 24 hours and check the temp inside the refrigerator. If the temp has dropped then the thermistor is bad and needs to be replaced.

To replace the thermistor remove the thermistor sensor end from the plastic clip. Remove the plastic grommet from the back wall of the refrigerator. Tape the new plug end to the sensor head of the old thermistor and gently guide it through the hole. Once the taped head/plug passes through the hole you may complete pulling the new thermistor through from the back side. Only pull enough to allow you to plug the new thermistor in. Un-tape the plug end from the head and plug the thermistor in to the circuit board. Reinstall the cover over the circuit board and reinstall the access pane. There will be some sealing putty on the old thermistor harness. Remove that and gently press it back into the hole around the new thermistor harness inside the refrigerator and reinstall the plastic grommet. Install the sensor end into the plastic clip and install the plastic clip between the first and second fins. The higher up on the fin the colder the temp will be inside the refrigerator.

GE pss25ngnacc____refrigrato is to cold can't control tem

start by putting freezer control on half way on the numers. lets say it goes to ten set on five, do the same on refrig side . let run for 24 hrs. so it can stabalize. if it is ok in freezer and things are frozen and too cold in fridge side turn the refrig side to one smaller number. check again in 24 hrs. don't keep opening the door so that it can stabalize. if that doesnt work then it could be the cold control not senseing the temp of the refrig.

Frigidaire refrigerator with a broken freezer

He is correct. The temp in the refrig controls how often and for how long the refrig runs. Lets say the temp in your garage is 34 degrees, and you have your refrig set to 36 degrees: The refrig will never run, the fresh foods section will cool to 34, and the freezer will warm to 34. Even if the temp is 45 in the garage and you set the fresh foods to be 33, the refrig will not need to run long enough and often enough to keep the freezer temp cold enough. You will most likely need to have the ambient room temp at least 55 degrees to get satisfactory refrigerator performance. Insulating the refrig will not help. (by the way, outdoor beverage vending machines use an internal heater in cold weather to prevent liquid beverages inside from freezing,..... so using that info, you could put a low wattage heater in your refrig to make your refrig run enough to make the freezer section work. The %&#* with that, just move it into the house!)

Water dispenser doesnt work, ice dispenser works fine

1) remove the tubing connector behind refrig kickplate . Press for water . If no water comes from tube under refrig , then possibly frozen tank but probably not . Probably bad water inlet valve . ( tank is in the lower potrion of the refrig section behind the crispers ) .
2) if water does shoot out , then your freezer door is frozen which requires leaving door open and tapeing light switch closed and tape plastic around freezer section opening so fridge will continue to operate normally . Thawing freezer door could take a day or 2 . 3) You can plug the hoses back togather and walk by occasionally pressing water untill comes out . Lower your freezer temperature setting also ( could be set for too cold)

Freezer not freezing, everything is thawing.. only 3 yrs old, refrig part only 47 degrees

sounds like your compressor is not starting up. unplug your refrig then remove the start relay from the side of the compressor. shake the relay if you hear alot of rattling around in the relay then most likely that is all thats wrong. if it doesnt rattle alot then possibly the compressor is locked up and is bad.

when you shake the relay if its broken internally usually little peices of ceramic will fall out of it. so shake it over a peice of paper to see if that happens/..
