Having the same problem plus a two month long conversation with HP in which they keep asking me to repeat the TAP 10 and 11 test. I feel like Iam in a Groundhog day loop. I finally just junked it and bought another printer. NOT HP>

I don't know if anyone else has noticed a similar issue, but when I got the above error messages, I noticed that the wire lever that sits beneath the color cartridge and swings back when the cartridge is inserted had popped out of the plastic notch that holds it and was hanging free.  I haven't been able to get it to stay in position - it pops out again each time I insert the cartridge.  Has anyone figured out a way to get it to stay?  I'm tempted to try and fix it in place with a small amount of adhesive, but I'm afraid if it doesn't work I'll make matters worse.  Has anyone tried this?

Ink cartridge (not) installed properly

unplug machine from power outlet. take all carts out. wait 5 min. plug machine to power. wait until machine demands carts. reinsert carts and make sure they are secured. answer display when asked if you have changed.

If you still have the error message use a original brother cart.

unplug machine from power. remove all carts. close cover. reconnect machine to power. wait until machine demands carts. reinsert cart as demanded by machine and secure them by pressing them into position and fixing the clip above the cart cover. give correct answer as display asks. Set date and time again.

btw: always print until printer stopps printing! Never change cart befor that
because printer logic will be fooled ;-)
