SOURCE: what type of oil do you use for 6.5 hp yardman

The manual will call for 30 weight, but 10w30 works just fine. Be careful to not overfill the crankcase. Your machine will take 16 - 18 oz's when the crankcase is empty.

Why does my 6.5 hp kohler lawn mower keep pulling oil into carb air filter

Its to stop the dust blocking the filter. The filter should be cleaned with petrol every 4 to 6 months to remove the dust & oil build up, cleaned in/with petrol and re-oiled. Its also good to clean the filter housing each time you clean the filter

What type oil and how much do you have to keep in it

SAE 30 for the oil
48 ounces is about right, but I would be sure to check the dipstick as you are filling and not just dump a full 48 in.

I have a yardman 6.25 hp lawnmower what type of oil do i put in it? the oil is seperate from the gas. Sorry i am unsure can u please help me.

Put in about 20 oz. of SAE 30HD oil. I recommend synthetic, and if you use that, you can use a 10W-30 oil. Remember, a quart bottle is 32 ounces, so DON'T overfill.

What engine oil do I need for my yardman 6.0 HP push mower?

SAE 30 only; if using conventional oil. I recommend using synthetic engine oil. If you go with synthetic, you can use a multi-viscosity oil like 10W-30, but only use staight SAE 30 if using conventional oil. Many benefits to using synthetic oil. It cleans the engine as it runs, it provides superior protection and helps cool the engine parts better, and it almost assures you 100% that your engine won't fail because of the type of oil used.
