Check out the fuse on the power board. If you're not sure then replace the power board and it should resolve the problem

My 19" Venturer TV will not turn on

  • 1 Check the antenna. Adjust it to see if the picture improves. Confirm that the antenna cable is firmly connected. Check to see that input cables are connected.

  • 2 Scroll through the channels to determine if the problem is specific to a station. Check any video sources (i.e. cable box). Make sure all cables are connected tightly.
  • 3 Check for interference. Power off all nearby devices one by one to see if any of them are creating the lines.
  • 4 Power off the TV for 30 minutes before turning it back on.

    I have a Westinghouse W3223 TV which has decided not to turn on any more. It powers up just fine as always. But instead of showing the video input source before showing the picture, now it shows nothing...

    This going to be tough one to figure out, but at least the back light inverter board and power supply are working, unhook it at least 1/2 hour?

    I have a 19" phillips lcd tv and when i turn the tv on the phillips screen comes up but when it is going the show the channel it shut off by itself how can i fix this problem?

    Hello. I may be able to assist you. If you are using a direct cable connection from the wall outlet;
    • Check the incoming cable or antenna signal connection to ensure that it is properly secured to the TV's antenna input.
    • If the connection is good, perform the automatic installation again to search for all available channels.
    If you are using a coaxial connection from the Cable or Satellite box to the TV;
    • Set the TV to the channel specified by the service provider.
    • Change the channels at the Cable or Satellite box to view the program.
    If you are using a video connection (CVBS, S-Video, YPbPr, HDMI) from the source (DVD, Cable or Satellite box) to the TV;
    • You do not need to perform automatic installation to search for the channels.
    • Press the 'SOURCE' 071218044349_22024.gif button on the remote control repeatedly to select the correct input source.
    If you are using an HDMI connection from the source (DVD, Cable or Satellite box) to the TV;
    1. Reset the TV and source by unplugging it from the power outlet for 30 seconds.
    2. Turn on the TV and press the play button on your source device. If the source is HDMI CEC compliant, the TV will automatically switch to the HDMI input.
    3. If your source is not HDMI CEC compliant, turn on the TV and switch to the HDMI input.
    4. Turn on your source.
    If you are sure you have selected the correct input or channel but still have no picture or sound;
    • Try resetting the TV by unplugging it from the power outlet for 30 seconds.
    • Press the 'SOURCE' 071218044349_22024.gif button to select the correct input source.
    • Check the connection cables.
    • Try the connected source with another TV.
    • Connect a different source on the same connection of your TV.

    Tv just quit working

    This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally

    Westinghouse ltv-19w6 source won't change

    Have you tried to click the source button on the tv? It is the second button from the bottom on the right hand side of the screen.

    I doubt your tv/monitor is turning off, it just isn't getting any input. D-Sub is the "pc monitor part".

    Try clicking that button, give it sec, the hit it again. It will go through all of it inputs. If TV is what you are trying to find, it is directly after the Video input (green letters, top right hand side of the screen.) Keep hitting the button until TV shows up.

    Good Luck!
