Yes. You need to replace the lamp. Mine did this when my lamp burned out.
You can try pressing <menu> and <device> at the same time, and you'll get a code flashed out to you (tens digit followed by unit digit). You'll likely see one of the following codes:
- 34 Lamp abnormality
- 36 Lamp Ballast or exhaust fan failed.
- 38 Lamp temperature too high
- 42 Lamp Fan Failed
But the user's manual and the repair manual both say that a red lamp light means your lamp isn't working (most likely it needs to be replaced).
