USB is to download pictures and not to charge batteries - read manual

You can charge the battery for the ViviCam 8025 in two ways.

Connect the camera to a powered USB port. The red LED will be on while charging, and go off when it's charged.

Take the battery out of the camera, put it into the supplied charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

Plug it in to a USB port, it charges through the USB,

Ive had this too.. All you need to do is unplug it. Then use a pin and press the RESET button on the bottom or side not the microphone on the top. Then plug the USB cable back into your laptop and into your CZ (Creative Zen) On the screen of the Zen it should say Docked. And your laptop should recognise your Zen as new hardware. TRY PLUGGING IT INTO A DIFFERENT USB. IF THIS DOESNT WORK TRY CHECKING DEVICE MANAGER ON YOUR COMPUTER, THEN USB CONTROLLERS TO INSURE YOUR PORTS ARE FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY.

It plugs into the same jack as the USB and tv connector does

What OS do you have?

Try a different USB port if you have one.

start from scratch here..plug and play should see that camera on USB port(try more than one if you have them) and then follow the install guides. You MAY need to remove those old install programs, through Add/Remove programs in control panel.
