Help73,

Your igniter is shot. The wires are embedded during the manufacturing process. Don't even try to solder them, it will never work. Get a hold of your local Toyo dealer and get a new Igniter. BY all means don't keep trying to start the unit. Everytime you try it pumps fuel into the pot. After a few tries fuel will come out the igniter hole. Big mess.

99 acura tl wont start. Replaced Nuetral safety switch, but still won't start. Lights work on dash, and head lights are bright. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you done the testing at the starter wiring your not receiving hot to the solenoid circuit on the starter when the key is turned over? Place a test light on the connector for solenoid hot and have some one turn the key if it lights check for constant voltage on the large wire connection from the battery to the starter. If that's all working your starter is bad.

You need a scanner hooked up then look at the sensors in the security system, one is defective and causing this problem.

Speedometer fluctuates and drive light starts flashing then engine light comes on

I had the same problem, if your car is rather new model, what I mean is if it is mostly electronics than this is a problem...
Lights that go on and off is indication of a short somewhere, if this is caused by a ground wire being loose than the problem can escalate to more serous problem... like burning of components, what happend in my case is there was a loose ground wire, this burned out my ignition, the ignition made all the electronics shut down, including head lights at 9pm in the evening...

hope it helps

Make sure your battery has a full charge and if that doesnt help then follow wires look for wroghted out or looses and disconnected wires from your ignition to your starter to even the plug wires also make sure the bies in neutral and the clutch is fully in!

Turn the key on but don't start the car, let it sit until the light stops blinking and start the car....should be 10-15 minutes.

My explorer wont turn over acts like its stolen

My mechanic disconnected the security section because my key I use to start the car had the security spot on the key was loose and would not work in the ignition It was going to cost a lot for a new set of keys so he took the security section out for a lot less. As he said an older car does not need security.

That Antitheft light is the Starter Kill. Replace the Wire that you cut and Check the Starter and Starter Solinoid.
