My Hoover Fussion has quit spinning the brush, has no error or hard/carpet light.

It has a belt that drives the brush, check to see if it is spinning? If it is spinning then the gear drive is sheared! If the gear is good then there is a short in the electrical connection!

Hoover Spinvac F5915900. Trigger no longer causes a release of soapy water on floor. It doesn't have tension, fairly loose, but still in slots. How do I fix this problem?

The trigger that you pull to release water snaps into plastic pieces inside the handle where it pivots to push on the rod that goes down to push on the regulator that lets the water flow. If the trigger is pulled too hard it can break the plastic it pivots in. If this happens the rod doesn't push hard enough on the regulator to let the water flow. Remove the screw at the top of the handle to remove the handle part holding the trigger to see if this could be causing your problem.

Why is it such hard work to hoover the carpet with the dyson dc 33.it is really hard just pushing it across a new carpet.

Are your belts working and is your power head set too low? Try raising it up one or two clicks. A broken belt will not let your brushes spin and a spinning brush will help it go on carpets.

Is there a wrong way to attach the belt and the sweeper?? My Hoover Runabout is making a rubbing noise, like the sweeper is hitting something, and it's real hard to push.

take off the belt . clean any hair from brush roller make sure movement smooth . re position belt and move by hand to make sure roller is not skew , , rubber is riding sideways and causing friction .

remove the bottom cover and check the drive belt.if belt is ok then your brush motor could be bad.

Vacuum is hard to push when running, easy when off

Hello,
I see your question is from July. I just joined Fixya this month so wasn't here to answer. If you're still looking for an answer:
It sounds like the belt is broken or stretched out so much it isn't spinning.
I would suggest replacing the belt and also check the roller brushes for wear and replace if necessary. Here is a link to an online guide with illustrations to change belt and or brushes. Hope this helps.

Brushes

I have a different model Steam Vac, but with my brushes, you just have to pull down HARD and they'll come off. Then, to put them back on, make sure the center pieces line up and push them on HARD.
