Sounds like it is broken. Should be under the manufacturer's warranty. Go to the store and get it exchanged. Or contact KitchenAid.

Why doesn't it produce hot water?

the electric comes through your thermostat make sure it is turned on all the way clock wise, and then through the high limit Thermal Cut-Off .it could be either one. further testing is the only to know. also it will take 20 minutes to heat up from a cold start... make sure the tank is full of water before plugin in. it will burn your new heating element out in about 2 to 3 minutes..

Why wont the steamer work

hi,
he pump presses hot water through the grind not steam.
if the coffee is hot and hot water is dispensed, your line are clocked.
descale the machine as directed.
if coffee is cold the heat element is toasted. very unlikely though, since the machine will not dispens coffee, pump running if correct temperature is not reached.
good luck

My Krups xp4050 no longer makes steam or hot coffee

I assume there is a power 'On' light. If it is lit and no hot water is produced... the odds are the heating element is blown. If No 'Power On light' then change the fuse in the mains plug.... simples

My delonghi caffee nero machine-the coffee maker wont work, the hot plate doesnt warm either(although the lights come on. the espresso maker part works fine. Someone mentioned there is a fuse which blows...

If expresso maker part works, the fuse is ok. I think that the resistence of the hot plate is interrupted. You must use the guarantee's facilities. I think it is two years available.

Our Mr. Coffee (model JWX27--it's less than 2 yrs old) stopped working out of the blue. The lights all seem to work, and the clock, but it doesn't start the brewing cycle. I've checked the timer/delay...

The heating element has gone bad. Since it is not a user-serviceable part, I recommend replacing the coffeemaker.

In the future, make sure you do not add water to the reservoir unless the coffeemaker has been turned of for at least five minutes. This will help prolong the life of the heating element.

The heating element will naturally degrade over time. But, it can incur sudden damage when the reservoir is refilled with water too soon - while the element is still hot. Because of the simple design, if the coffeemaker is on, then both the warming plate's heating element and the reservoir's heating element are on. So, after a brewing cycle is complete, the reservoir's heating element stays on. Without any in the reservoir to keep it cool, the heating element superheats. So, if water is put in the reservoir while the coffeemaker is on or before the element has adequately cooled, the sudden burst of steam from the water contacting the element can be quite violent.

the heating element is likely sticking or has gotten wet and corroded,i would try cleaning the element if dirty looking or pushing it closed with finger tip to see if it springs back in place.if this doesnt work i would not try to use could start fire easily if on too long

Keurig coffee maker is on, lights lit, machine said it is brewing but no water is coming out

Even though the light is on, this does not mean the element that heats the water is working. After you fill the machine with COLD water, and the light has been on for a few minutes, unplug the machine and dump the water out into a bowl. Carefully, feel the water. Is it hot? OR just warm? Or still cold? If it is warm, the element is not heating properly. If it is cold, the element is NOT working. If the water is HOT, then perhaps the tube from the water storage reservoir to the brewing basket is clogged. If that tube is clogged, it needs to be removed from the machine and cleaned out. If the element is not working, or heating the eater hot enough, that element needs replacement. Chances are, the replacement cost/cost of repair would be more then a new coffee maker.

Hamilton Beach Brew Station

My brewStation 47214 stopped pumping water today, even though the warming element continued to get hot. A half dozen screws later I discovered a second heating element inside the coffee maker. The internal element is what heats the water and forces it into the basket. This element was burned out, religating my brewstation to the garbage. Probably last 3+ years.
