Weird colors! My friend gave me his LG 22" Flateron screen and once I connected it to the computer everything was all right except the colors. I've tried to touch the color settings, the brightness, etc but nothing seems to work! I see blue instead of pink and yellow instead of green...god I feel like a daltonian! Please someone I need some help! thanks

Normally this happens if the plug at the back of of the monitor or the computer loose. Try to secure that cable. If they are secure, check the pins on the ports at back of the monitor / desktop or the cable. I also suggest that you try a different monitor cable.

Believe me, its the color card. You have to get a better Color Card that handle the resolution of the new monitort. I have the same monitor. I use a X800 Pro.

I just got the 22"

Hello, try to move your LCD screen on a different position. These symptoms are like due to some existing magnetic field from electronic devices by the side. If it won't work try to test a different screen if possible, it might be the display source or possibly the something in between like the cable.

Open lg 22' wide screen

disconnect all the cables except the power cable and then turn the monitor on you would see a test screen if it still happens your monitor is faulty and better buy a new one as repairing is usually expensive .

HP Pavilian external monitor color problem.

The easiest thing would be to check your cable for a bent or loose pin. Next put another external monitor on the laptop. The circuitry to provide video to the laptop screen and the external monitor are separate except that they share a video processor and video memory. There can be bad electronics involved.

Screen is now a weird color

The problem might be in the cable. Try to reconnect it to your machine. Also try to set your color settings on the monitor itself, so that all the colors are equal.

Connecting to PC

Hi Sarah, You may want to try lowering the resolution of your computer down first before connecting the 42PX5D. Since everything seems to be working except when you get to the desktop then your PC might be set to a resultion that's too high for the LG (am not 100% sure, but I think that LG's max res is 1024 X 768). Try to adjust your PC's resolution while still connected to a regular monitor, right click on any free/clear part of your desktop and click properties. Display Properties window will pop-up, click on Settings tab, adjust Screen resolution towards the left, trym lowest posiible, color quality, again lowest possible. Then hook it up to the LG. If desktop now displays in LG, do the same again but this time going up. Do it by increment and stop when LG screen goes blank. Press escape to go to setting prior to blank. Adjust color quality best setting acceptable to the LG. Good luck and hopes this work out for you. Regards.
