Can't seem to get the software i have to recognize my phone? just want to get pictures off my phone onto my computer. the motorola mobile phone tools program i installed and updated keeps saying my phone isn't being detected? at least not the specific type. i think may be it's my dell laptop latitude c600...it has only one usb connection port and i'm thinking it's not a high-power port? my carrier is MetroPCS and i don't have internet access on my current plan. but would like to know how i can get the pictures on my phone...on to my computer...my pc doesn't seem to have bluetooth either. and yes i did turn the bluetooth on, on my phone. I also connected an external usb2connect card bus and tried connecting that way...but a similar thing happened but this time the program said there was no device modem? however i can't use my wireless internet card at the same time because although there are 2 card bus slots the usb2 is too big on bottom or top because of the usb connections i guess? regardless they will not fit or work at the same time, together. so what am i doing wrong? and how else can i attempt this?

Determine the type of connection
you will use to upload pictures from your cell phone to your PC. For
example, if your telephone has BlueTooth capabilities and you have a
notebook computer with BlueTooth, you may be able to upload pictures
without purchasing any additional equipment.
Purchase additional equipment
needed, such a data link cable or blue tooth hardware to add to your
computer. To find the data link cable for your individual cell phone,
try visiting your local cell service provider retail store. Stores often
keep these cables in stock. The cost for a cable runs from $20.00 and
Make sure that the new cable
fits properly in your cell phone and computer ports. The computer
connection should be a basic USB connection.
Download and Install Software
Visit the website for your cell
phone's manufacturer, for example the LG website. Do a search for
downloads or software and locate the proper download for your cell phone
and Windows (or MAC) platform on your PC.
Install the software and follow
directions carefully. Often, there will be very specific steps involved
in ensuring that the cell phone and the computer recognize one another.
For example, if you connect the phone before downloading and installing
the software, the computer may not recognize your cell phone properly.
Test the software and make sure
everything is working properly. You should be able to pull up the
software and upload all the pictures and videos on your telephone. Every
cell phone manufacturer uses different software. While there isn't a
single tutorial that will cover how to use every type available, most
software comes with specific instructions and tutorials that will help
you learn how to easily use the features available.
Hello,, For uploading a picture from your cell phone to your computer, please connect your mobile phone to PC using the data cable.. This will require you to install a software called PC suite if your operating system does not recognizes your cell phone.. Install the software from the disc and syncronise your cell phone with computer, The data stored in the storage card will be visible to you and you can copy it to a separate place in you computer.. Thank you.. With Regards.. Lakshay Batra
Normally you must download and install some type of software onto your computer first. That software should then recognize the phone when you connect it to your computer and allow you ot download your pictures. Either check your manufacturers website or call the support center for your cell carrier and ask them where to get your software.
Uninstall all software drivers and programs you installed in your PC relating your phone and remove the "Motorola USB modem" from the device manager of the PC. Then download and install Motorola's "Mobile Phone Tools". Look in google for download links. And follow the instructions in the connection assistant.
