Fujifilm 12.2 megapixel camera everything else seems fine but when I press the shutter to take a photo it says no image please help urgently dance is tomorrow night
SOURCE: No picture taken when shutter release is pressed
if you see no reation of the pressing of the button i.e. no focusing, no error message nothing , then most probably a simplest problem , the shutter release button may not be working for few reasons : 1) defective switch. 2) defective flex cable. 3) camera exposed to some physical jerk or dropping resulting into disalingment between inner switch and the shutter release button.

Maybe, maybe not. You can try using Windows properties to fix an error. If that doesn't work, try image recovery software, which is usually downloadable from the net. You then run the software on the card and hopefully your images are readable. Save them to CD or hard drive, and format the card in the camera to remove bad or fragmented data.

I see this frequently on the E900. Every time it has been a battery issue. If you're using rechargables (the E900 came with batteries and charger in the Canadian market......not sure about the rest of the planet), they may have just worn out over time. Replace with new NI-MH (nickel metal hydride) rechargeables. If you're using throw-away AA's, try Energizer Ultimate Lithiums. I've solved many, many E900 shutting off problems simply by changing the batteries to Energizer Lithiums.

There is an option in the menu to put camera on continuous auto focus. You must have the camera on manual setting to have this option available, but once selected, it should stay on in auto setting. It will wear the battery faster, but it should solve the issue you are having. Hope this helps!!!
Testimonial: "Luckily the camera was still in warranty and I sent it off to Fuji to get it repaired. It came back and they had replaced the shutter button. Thanks!"
