AC blown warm air

In the morning the air is cold, and comfortable, as it reached afternoon the AC blow cool and then warm air, my thermostat had been set for 72 for 3 yrs, for some reason no matter what temp I set it kept go right back to the this temp.. this time, it no longer maintainced 72 but blow warm air after 5 minutes of cool air.. I had my system filled with Freon a week ago, it worked fine for 4 days...they also have a special dye injected to the system so that this time could detect the leak since it can only be seen by flourescence light.. I am a bit skeptical about the problem,
1) why thermostatt kept go back to 72?
2) and is there a leak or maybe more?

Pls help me with your expertise , at least I knew what to look forward to as I approach the service dealer .. thank you so much ,, K

This one is a difficult one to say. You could have a bad ac unit on the cars engine. Also when it goes back to 72 degrees your car is just displaying the temperature inside the car one of the features of a digital adjustments on these types of cars. Also you could have a leak and therefore not getting the cold air you wanted.

Driver side blowing warm air with ac on , passenger side cold...2007 Impala

The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out. ... But a system that is 1/2 pound low will cause the passenger side vents to blow cool or cold air, and the drivers side to be less cool or even warm on this car. There is simply not enough freon capacity in the system to cool the air to the drivers side.

I ran the air conditioner yesterday and everything was fine, when i got in this morning, it was cool so i turned into vent and moved the thermostat to red. This afternoon it was warm so moved it back to...

I'd probably check the blend door under the dash for proper operation. Sorry, I don't have any pictures. Also, if the blend door is vacuum operated, check the vacuum. I did check hvac wiring diagram, didn't show any actuators, so, I believe vacuum operated. I'd have to look at it, to diagnose further, sorry I don't have better info.

Make sure it is full of refrigerant and compressor clutch in engaging.

Heater not blowing hot air

Hi Chris, sounds like your thermostat may be worn and not closing all the way which would cause your engine to run cool at times. If you have a temp gage it should tell you if the engine is actually warming up or not. If not I would replace the thermostat.

No heat air is blowing cold

First you have to identify what causes the problem.
To do this you have to:
1) When engine is cold check the level of coolant. If it is low fill it up.
2) Start engine and check if engine reaches regular temperature. If your engine is not heated enough it means your thermostat does not work properly and should be replaced.
3) If engine temperature is normal, then check the temperature of pipes that go to/from heater core. These pipes are located up the fire wall (easier access is from the passenger side). If pipe/pipes are cold (even engine is worm) it means you heater core is plugged and should be flushed. Keep in mind, flushing the whole cooling system is different from flushing heater core.
4) If pipe/pipes are hot/warm, turn off the fan, switch controller to the hot position, wait for 3-4 minutes and turn on the fan. Note if the cold air blows first or warm air blows first but it cools down in 5-10 seconds. If the air blows cold than it is most probably the problem with blend door or blend door actuator.
5) If air blows warm first and then cools down, then while running engine and remaining the transmission in PARKING position, press on the gas pedal until your engine reaches 3,000 RPM. Check if your heater blows warm/hot air. If it does, then your water pump does not work properly and should be replaced. If the air still cold, I would suggest to flush the heater core.
