How do you empty the turbo accu vac? I can take the filter out and clean it but can't open the chamber where the bits are collected

  1. Make sure to turn off your machine.
  2. Press the empty button. Then pull the handle to lift the dirt container away from the vacuum.
  3. Hold the dirt container over a trash bin and press the release button to dump the debris.
  4. Then snap the bottom back on.
  5. Place the dirt tank back onto the machine.

When I tried to open the clear bin to empty it, the bottom did not drop open and now I can't push the cyclone down. What do I need to do to fix this?

I can't be specific without knowing your model but the crud and gunk that collects inside the dirt bin can restrict the door from opening and closing properly. If the door isnt closed properly the dirt bin may not fit back into the vacuum.

Dyson dc07 clear dust bin will not close after emptying. Any time the bin is removed, the dirt falls out.

There is a lever that has a hook on the end that holds the door in the bottom of the dirt cup closed. If the little plastic hook gets broken the trap door will not stay closed by itself. The easiest way to fix this is to purchase a new dust bin. I have a bunch of them in my vacuum graveyard. You may call my store at 260 244-4696.

I CAN'T REMOVE THE BIN TO EMPTY THE DIRT. iT SEEMS TO BE STUCK hOW CAN I GET IT OFF THE VACUUM?

Hi Ethel, it's Jack at Dyson.

Removing DC07's clear bin and cyclone to empty the machine after use should be quick and easy. If it currently seems jammed, it's likely that either the cyclone and clear bin were not correctly positioned the last time they were replaced, or that the release catch has been damaged in some way.

It would be best if you can give us a call to speak directly with our experts - they should be able to talk you through freeing the bin with some simple troubleshooting checks.

You can reach us by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

We'll look forward to speaking with you and providing further assistance.

I do not know how to remove the canister that catches the dirt. I do not have a manuel.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

Emptying the Clear bin caution: (i) switch 'off' and unplug machine before emptying the bin.
Empty as soon as the dirt reaches the level of the MAX mark - do not overfill.

To remove the clear bin from the machine press the button at rear of carrying handle. to release the dirt, press the button again to open the bin.
Please note: (i) Do not use the machine without the clear binin place.

Hello- my motor filter is becoming clogged every time i use it. i have removed and washed it--I thought maybe i didn't have the lid closed tight enough but for some reason dirt is pouring into the filter,...

One way or another, dirty air is by-passing the cyclone. My best guess is that when you emptied the clear bin, a seal has dropped out (or become displaced) and the base of the clear bin is no longer sealing properly against the bottom of the cyclone. Check that all the seals are undamaged and in place. Also check that the bin base closes tight after you've emptied it.
If this doesn't help, please post a response and I'll try again. If it does help, please remember to rate me!

Bottom of dirt container doesn't stay closed

The catch/latch that is on the bottom of the bin button release has likely broken.
If you take out the canister (as when you are dumping the bin), and flip it upside down and then squeeze the bin release button, you will see that it moves a rod inside the cyclone assembly.  At the end of this rod is a plastic (plastic.. redundant, as the entire Dyson is practically plastic) latch that catches onto the bin's lid and locks it in place.  A broken latch means it doesn't lock the lid in.
What you need is a replacement latch.  Note that the "Bin Release Button + Rod assembly" that are sometimes sold on ebay do *not* contain the latch at the end of the rod.  Also the bottom bin assembly does not contain the required parts.
The cyclone assembly should have the full bin release rod + latch, so if you can't find the latch, then a new cyclone assembly would work also (but will cost more, obviously).
