Changing interior light bulb on GE jes1289sk

I have had this trouble before but with a different model. There may be a plastic screen inside the microwave that will just pop off exposing the bulb. Now all you will need to do is to find out what type of bulb you will need to change the other bulb. I hope this made things easier on you.

How do I replace the bulb in my GE JVM2070?

Hi,
There are two screws holding the vent from the top, not front, that's why you don't see them. After you remowe them try to slide the vent to the left, it will move about 1/8" just enough to unlatch it and you can remove it. Your light bulb is hidden under a metal tin cover. Depress a small plastc latch in front of it and lift the cover...you light bulb is right there...good luck!

I have a Corningware MW-A-10 Microwave Browner which I have never used - could I use it in a conventional / thermofan oven?

No. The bottom of this utensil is coated in tin oxide. It is not recommended for use in any appliance other than a microwave. Tin oxide (SnO) is flammable and particles may contaminate your food. It is suggested that you use the MW-A-10 only in the microwave, or look for a different CorningWare piece that is not in the MW series.

Will tin foil in the microwave ruin it completely? The microwave turned off after my son mircowaved a potato wrapped in tin foil.

You should always put a spoon in a cup of liquid that you heat in a microwave oven.
The microwave with a potato wrapped in tin foil is like operating the oven with nothing in it! If the microwave was spotlessly clean then your in trouble.
1 put a cup of cold water in the microwave and set for 5 minutes. if the water boils then your lucky if it cold then go and buy a new microwave and stop your childs allowance for a fortnight.
One might ask the question how old is your child and should they be using such a machine unsupervised!

Changing Microwave bulb

Remove lid, you'll probably need a pozi drive screw driver and a tamper proof torx drive.
The bulb is located near the front.
