Being in the correct mode settings helps. Plus, you usually have to program it to do the work first. You can buy Calculus Made Easy which shows the work for most of its solutions along with a host of other topics. Yeah I had the same problem, you need to open your calculator and check if all the screen cables is alright, i had just put sellotape on the back of the screen from inside so that the screen hold better, and it works for me if for you not maybe something broken in the schema but try it. The thing I know for sure the problem is in the screen or from where it get the data the schema. Tell me if it's working
You put your calculator in a pot of boiling water and than go to the dollar store. At the dollar store you need to buy a bag of Doritios. Once you have the Doritios, climb the nearest tree and consume them. One more thing- you're welcome :-).
I have finally worked out how to do log to the base 2 on my FX-83ES after nearly 2 years.
I hope yours is a similar problem.
The calculator must be in MATH mode or it will not work.
press the log button as the useless manual says then 2 then the right arrow on the replay button and then the number you want the log2 off..
