1984 honda big red smoking out the exhaust littel oil coming out tho also it has the wrong carb on it the carb come off a honda atc 200x

The Honda XR 200R had a 195 cc (11.9 cu in) engine that was shared with the Honda ATC 200x but with a different camshaft and carburetor. This engine ran 10:1 compression ratio and was over square. For the 1984-85 model years, the XR200 had a smaller version of the same 4 valve RFVC engine as the other XR's in the line up. The 200cc RFVC engine shared many parts with the 250cc RFVC engine. For the 1986 model year, Honda reverted to the 2 valve engine that had powered the XR200R before 1984 and variations of the 2 valve engine continued to power the XR200R until the model was dropped altogether.

take shifter off, mark first, take a small electrical driver, and insert it inside, pop it out, and press the new one in.

Cleaning a carb is not an easy undertaking,, there are several tiny passages, tiny jets, and the needle/seat assy, If you are not trained to know these.. you may not get the carb as clean as it needs to be... Install a new spark plug... a new air filter.. and get a qualified pro to clean and set the carb.

What ussually causes white smoke to come out the exhaust is oil being sucked up in carb. Typical causes are too much oil in crank case or PVC valve. Or really bad piston rings

could have too much oil in it. Check oil level. If this is a reaccurring problem , suspect fuel leaking from carb. into oil.

Sounds like the crank case engine oil level is too high. Ovefilled, Two or 4 stroke?

White smoke could indicate coolant in the combustion chamber. Not likely if you have an air-cooled bike. It could also mean that you are running in a cold climate, if the temp is around 20 or less I would call this normal.

If your bike is water cooled I would keep a close eye on your coolant level and oil level. A blown head gasket could allow water to get into the combustion chamber (causing the smoke) or mix with the oil (even worse). If you notice it using coolant I would have it checked out by a mechanic. If you want to check it yourself, do a compression check on both cylinders. If one is rather low, there is your problem.
