There are four possible answers to this problem, if the heater starts normally, runs for a few seconds or minutes and the shuts down but was still running normally at the time of shut down, this could be caused by the photocell, also known as the flame out control. This safety device may be failing, shutting down even though the heater is working normally, check the operation of the photocell. The second cause may be partial fuel filter blockage, the heater is effectively starving itself of fuel, so the flame blows out, hence the puff of smoke, and then shuts down on the safety cut out. Third cause, if this model has a compressor at the rear of the motor, the problem could be low pump pressure, caused by wear or contamination of the carbon blades, this would cause the wrong amount of fuel to be syphoned up, with weak fuel mix the heater may blow itself out and shut down. The fourth cause, perhaps indicated by the puff of white smoke, is contamination of the fuel with water, water will cause the white smoke and also is indecated by white residues or a power like substance on the end plate of the heater which glows red hot when burning.

Hello,
Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement. Hoping this will help to solve the problem...

Y Buffers or the Y Main, (picture or location) no picture but have sound after I heard a pop sound

WE all hear that POP sound from time to time. I assume we are talking about a CRT, TV. That pop sound is most likely the OPT blowing. Output Transistor, for the LOPT. Line out[put Transformer.
One of the two need replacing.
hope this helps.

Will not power on

hello,
A blown fuse is a very common type of fault due to poor design very often triggered by power surges due to outages or lightning storms. However, the most likely parts to short are easily tested, usually in-circuit, with an ohmmeter and then easily removed to confirm.

Note that it *may be* useful to replace a fuse the *first* time it blows (though it would be better to do some basic checks for shorted components first as there is a small chance that having a fuse blow the second time could result in additional damage which would further complicate the troubleshooting process). However, if the new one blows, there is a real problem.

switch mode power supply? it has a in or primary side and out the secondary side of a switch mode transformer.

check the driver IC that runs Q102 it makes a oscillation that Q102 amplifies. now the secondary if has a short will blow the Q102 look for shorted rectifiers in the secondary and fuse resistors that are open, even go far downstream and check the HOT for short.

check for fly back transformer
but remember that before you replace any thing in eht section check for power supply output to be ok.
also check for diodes, capacitor connected to flyback transfomer.
also check for mica sheet is not cracked or h/output is not touching to chassis.
good luck
