Stuck even when pushing purple slide release

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC07. If the cleaner won't return to the upright position after use, it may be because the valve carriage has become misaligned. This is easy to rectify - please see the video guide from our Support page:
http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=1376&product=DC07-SY-HEPA_US
You should be able to recline your DC07 easily into the vacuuming position by placing a foot on the cleaner head and lowering the handle. The user guide supplied with your cleaner demonstrates how to do this - in case you don't have yours to hand, here's an online copy:

Following the steps shown in the video should resolve your issue. However, if you have any further concerns, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly so one of our experts can run through some troubleshooting checks over the phone with you, and provide further assistance. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC16. If the bin-base release trigger seems to be jammed, separate the clear bin from the cyclone assembly, then reassemble, making sure you have both parts correctly aligned. For guidance on doing this, please refer to the user guide supplied with the machine. If you don't have this to hand, you can download a copy here:
http://media.dyson.com/downloads/UK/floorcare/Manuals/dc16_uk_manual_120710.pdf
When both parts are correctly aligned, the trigger should move freely and open the bin-base. However, if you're unable to resolve the issue, please get in touch with us directly by calling free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to provide further assistance.
Kind regards,
Jack
