DL-hd4208t Won't turn on I also need advice on where I can get a remote control and a circuit diagram to assist me in repairing this T.V.. 1258 is the code to check.

1) change by new batteries alkaline
2) clean the contacts batteries with isopropyl alcohol
3) tight the springs contacts for better contacts with pliers
4) open the remote control, and clean the keypads switch from dirty, oxide, corrosion.bad contacts, or open contacts. This will NOT trasmitt the infrared signal to the receiver.
5) Otherwise you must go to the repair shop TV for fix it

There is no much on diagram but a networking to matrix the inputs of different source to a SUB- PROCESSOR which is the heart of the unit. This outputs IR to the IR LED's to be emitted.

Id you have no TV repair experience, play it safe and take the set into an authorized Sony repair place to estimate the cost to repair. Yes I know it would be nice to repair, but how much do you know about component level printed circuit board repair? You will need to first get a service manual, know how to read a circuit diagram, thats a schematic, and know how every circuit works with each other to make the TV set operate. I do appriciate the fact you would like to repair this yourself, but there is no magic fix in most cases when it comes to electronics. There is circuit diagnosise involved. Best advice would be to call in a pro to assist you in these types of repairs. Good Luck
