You could try a power reset of the printer.
Press ON button to turn off printer
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer
Remove all of the ink cartridges
Wait 3 minutes
Plug the power cord back into the printer
Press the ON button to turn on the printer
Install back all of the cartridges

If this does not work, you could try a hardware reset.
1) Press and hold LEFT ARROW and then press SETUP
Release both buttons
2) Press OK
3) Press & release RIGHT ARROW until LCD reads System Configuration Menu 2
4) Press OK
5) LCD reads Hardware Failure Status: Clear, Press OK to clear
6) Press OK, LCD now reads Cleared, Press Cancel to continue.
7) Press & release CANCEL until the Welcome or Ink System
Failure screen appears on LCD
8) DO NOT PRINT AT THIS STAGE
9) Use POWER button to turn OFF printer
10) Unplug power cord from electrical outlet and from back of printer
11) Wait 1 minute. plug power cord back into outlet first then back into the printer
12)Turn on the printer, Press OK
The printer will start to initiate, do not interrupt.

Why is my acer emachine charging blinks in red

That is a signal that your battery is almost dead or drained. If you have the power cord plugged in and the battery is not charging at all, that means the battery is dead and you need to purchase another one.

In windows xp you should be able to click Start/Control Panel/Power Options. When the power options window opens click the Power Meter tab. It will tell you if your battery is charging.

Now to isolate if it's really the battery that's dead or if it's the Power Cord that's bad. You might really be operating on battery power even though you have the power cord plugged in.
1) Turn the laptop off and remove the battery. Turn it back on with only the power cord plugged in. If it comes and and boots up ok, then your power cord is ok.
2) Turn the laptop off and this time put the battery in, but leave the power cord off. Now hit the power button and see if it boots up. If it does that means you might have a little power still left in the battery, but since it was not charging when the power cord was plugged in, the battery is bad because you verified in step one that the power cord is good.

Let the battery power down, plugged back in and now computer will not come on at all, took battery out, nothing, not even the little battery flash light, even tho power cord in and blue light around cord

Need to check the power cord to see if it is running at 19.5 fisrt. The power cord may be your whole problemand it cheaper than the other problem I see.
If power cord is ok take battery to the battery store to check it's cells. it sounds like to battery is bad. but the power cord should still bring the unit up. If the battery is ok and the power cord checks out the charging unit is bad and is costly.

I have a Xerox WorkCentre Pro 412 and it will not power up.

First and most simple. Plug something else into the outlet to make sure it works. If this model has a removable power cord then try re-inserting the cord. While you are there and with the cord installed, lift up then push down slightly and see if it comes on. If the power cord is removable the receptacle where it plugs in are notorious for breaking the solder connections. If this is the case it just needs to be re-soldered. If the outlet is ok, the cord is ok or hard wired in then you may have either a blown main fuse or a bad power supply.

make sure the green wire is connected like in the picture. this connects directly to the neutral, if it is disconnected when you connect a 3 wire cord then this problem you are having will happen.

Lost power cord

Should be OK as long as it's capable of carrying the wattage the system is pulling. The TH-42PX60U is rated at 320 watts max - you should be OK as most computer cables are rated well above that. However if you're worried, us the power cord from a laser printer or copy machine - it will definately carry the load.

Replacing a fraayed and twisted power cord on a Hoover windtunnel upright

ok so I took this vaccum apart completely except for the electrical and motor systems. It seems to me that without dismantling both of these systems on the vaccum you can't replace the power cord. And I wouldn't recommend taking them apart unless you know what you are doing since replacing the power cord seems to require cutting the old power cord and soldering the new one onto the old terminals. All in all its probably easier to get a new vaccum altogether.
