I do so apologize for the problem during our chat session. One second I was typing in the next step and then suddenly the chat program wouldn't send my chat, and the top of the window said server error.
I would have contacted you before but I did not remember your user name until the website management gave me the info.
If you still do not have your printer working, please download the vista driver here (note where you download the file to.)
Then make sure your printer is not connected to the computer.
Double click the driver file you downloaded to start installing the driver.
When the install asks you how the printer is connected, reconnect the USB cable to the printer and pc.
If you have any other problems with the install, just let me know.
And again I apologize for any inconvenience the interrupted chat session may have caused.

No i don think this printer is compatible with Mac because it doesnt have the downloads for it on the website also......But i would request you to have a chk with Lexmark they may have CD for it.....

I fixed this by completely uninstalling the Lexmark software, then unplugging the USB and restarting. I then installed the new Lexmark software that I downloaded from their site, make sure not to plug the USB back in until it told me to. It then detected the printer properly and started working.

According to lexmark's site, uninstall all lexmark software, then go to:
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:0:0:0
and type your model number in the search field, then you will need to choose either vista x32 or x64 for 32 or 64bit and download and reinstall the drivers

Hello. Unfortunately, the Lexmark X8350 is not compatible with Macintosh operating system. There are no drivers for Mac. The printer only works with Microsoft operating system. Hope I could assist you more on this.
