Could be overheating and a sensor is triggering the machine to turn off or it could be short of gas. Check all pipework connections for tightness and especially look for oily residue on any of them. This would indicate a leak. Unfortunately, if there is a leak, you would require a licensed air con Tech to repair the leak and regas it.

SOURCE: no cooling after power out, indicator lights pattern not in manual

The Mitsubishi units have to be reset by turning off the indoor units by switching the remote or thermostat to off. Then turn off the breaker to the outside unit(s). After 30 seconds, turn on the breaker and then you can turn on the remote for cool. If no lights come on on the inside units, most likely you have blown a fuse soldered on the main PC board. At this point, call your technician. A goos tech will be able to wire in an in-line fuse holder so if it should happen again, you can easily replace the fuse. If you do see a light or two come on at the indoor unit but the outdoor unit does not start after 3 or 4 minutes, sounds like you will need to call a technician. Most likely you have a blown fuse on the main PC board of the outside unit. It is not an easy one to replace. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Inside unit runs left light blinks compressor will not start

In your out door unit you will have a dual capacitor. One side will be used to help start the outdoor fan and the other side is used to start the compressor. I have a fluke 187 volt ohm meter and can read uF. You probably have a bad capacitor. Its easy to change and by far the cheapest thing to do before calling a tech. It is out side where the electrical enters the outdoor unit. Be sure to kill all power to the outdoor unit and ground the capacitor before you remove and test. This has been the summer of capacitors here in SW Missouri. I have replaced several in the area.

You need a professional here. Once this has been repaired, I would suggest running the wiring to the outdoor unit inside some sort of piping to protect it.

Hi Tania,
Have you gone through this checking sequence.? it's from a Panasonic a/c manual. It could be something as simple as a clogged filter. Once you have rectified the fault, you will probably have to clear the fault code as described at bottom below, before it will condescend to work again.

The air conditioner gives me an E4 problem error, it starts up fine then afetr only a few minutes it shuts down... how do i solve this problem? how do i fix it?? please help me?

E4 is an"Abnormality of Outdoor Unit." There are many reasons. 1. High discharge temp due to condenser coil blocked or less rpm of fan motor. Clean coil or replace fan capacitor. 2. No gas and hence pumping oil. Find leak and arrest it. Recharge gas.
