Hi. Replace the batteries in you remote control already ?
Normally, every TV can be switched on using the local "channel up/dwn " buttons. If this does not work, then there is a more serious problem at hand.

SOURCE: TV Stuck in Demo mode

I had the same problem and tried everything. Nothing worked, so I started randomly pushing and holding buttons ON the TV until one combination worked! My Panasonic has two buttons on the TV set for adjusting the picture. Hold down one of them and simultaneously hold down the Channel Up button. If that doesn't work, try the same procedure with the OTHER picture adjustment button. It worked for me. Good Luck!

SOURCE: TV off...cant get out of standby mode

Sounds like the connections on the CRT Socket or CRT circuit board. Remove back and check connections.
You could also have buildup on the cathodes of the electron gun (internally) to redimie you must have set in operation and viewing video. Tap the neck of the tube gently while watching for the colors to change until they Stabileize, this is best seen whith the color turned off.
Good Luck

Tv standby

If your TV is stuck in standby mode, and does not wake up with the remote, either the remote is faulty (did you check the remote batteries?) or the TV is. Inexpensive current TVs do not have manual buttons on the TV, they depend on the remote for everything.

Tv stuck in standby mode

Hi,
When a TV is stuck in standby mode often means that there is a problem with its power supply or even in the horizontal output circuitry. May be a component with short-circuit in the RGB output driven by the flyback transformer or a rectifier diode in the power supply output.
I hope having helped you.

Panasonic TX-28PM1 TV shuts down after 2 seconds and then Standby LED flashes

Have you tried pressing the input selection button right after powering on the t.v.? Some t.v.'s go into standby mode when they are on a input selection that has nothing connected to them. Hope this helps some! Best of luck to ya!

Panasonic switching to standby mode on its own

Is this a recognised symptom? yes the problem in power supply. it is due to switching oscillator& switcing output circuit probabaly capacitor & transistor. as set is very old so after power supply is ok check for horizontal output also. can it be fixed? yes it is common & not major problem
