You need to covert the data from analog (RCA) to digital (USB). Connecting an RCA video / audio to a computer has to go through some software for the conversion.
If you go to the RCA website and go to support then type in your product you can download everthing that was on the cd providing you registered your player within 30 days after you got it!!!

go to my computer on your start menu
lyra will show up on other devices or portable devices
double click on the lyra icon
this will bring up another lyra icon right click on that
go down to the option format and select that
