My 43fdx20b had a pink tint to it also. The picture was clear otherwise. I found, on mine, I needed to adjust the Red Screen control. It was located behind the front panel. I removed the two screws on either side of the front panel and was able to remove the panel. Then I adjusted the Red Screen control. I found that if I tuned in an old Black and white movie I could adjust the color fairly accurately. Good Luck.

The TV computer may have detected an error. See if the problem persist after unplugging the device overnight to reset it. If it does not, the issue may be with the board or its power supply circuit. Probably loose soldering or leaking capacitors.

Replace both STKs Use StK 329-180s if set is using110s,120,150s, I havent heard of anyone yet getting shocked from replacing ICs.

I have CK24 as a 1000pf 50v cap. Look at CK25 it is the same value as CK20 - CK24. Were your convergence ICs STK392-110s? One side of the cap goes to pin 14 of the (IK-04) IC and the other to ground.

Yes this is a normal diagnoise. Just about every Tube type projection TV set ever made will one day need these IC's replaced. They are not really that hard to replace but you would need to know how to solder and unsolder on printed circuit boards, know the procedture, and then have a service manual handy to adjust the convergence after yoou replaced the IC's. If the tech works on alot of these types of TV sets's, most likely they could adjust them without having a service manua handy. This repair done by a pro should run you anywhere from 250 on up to 400 bucks depending on who does the repair and where. Good Luck
