Ask the person to visit the shop from where he bought the didi cam and tell the serial number...only they can tell as they have too keep recrd for legal reasons as the digi cam must have been discontinued by the manufacturer.

My son's Panasonic lumix has had orange juice spilled on it. it has; 'invaded'the screen and is slow to function. can it be repaired?

Unfortunately, replacement will probably be the only solution - any liquid, especially something sweet and sticky like orange juice, is likely to ruin electronics. Can you claim on your insurance ?

Camera (DMC-FZ10) got wet in a rain storm. Now

I suspect that water has damaged the electronics board in the camera. Unfortunately this is not a waterproof camera. Water will corrode the electronic components and eventually ruin the whole camera,
My suggestion is to claim it on insurance as they wilol repair or replace it on Home insurance. No one puts a camera in water intentionally unless its an underwater camea, so its considered an accident

Here is the direct link for the manual.
You will have to copy the full line to your browser.

If that does not work you can enter the model number here.

The panasonic web site is here, look under support.

Stolen

Warranty normaly does not cover theft, if the camera had been stolen, you need an insurance, and not a warranty to cover theft damage.

If you have an insurance, and you want to get rewarded, you can call the retailer to retrieve your camera details.

Stolen camera

Hey maddie13,
Unfortunately the 2yr replacement plan you purchased does not cover cameras that are stolen, but what usually does is homeowners insurance, or rental insurance, or car insurance if it was in your car at the time. Just so you know you can return your replacement plan for a prorated refund. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan
