On the Sony DSC-H7 camera can you disable the auto power off? If not does the use of an external power supply disable it? Thanks

The auto power off function that operates if the camera is not used for about 3 minutes, when operating on battery power, cannot be deactivated.

When using the camera the camera powered from the Sony AC-LS5 AC mains adapter, or with the Sony DCC-L1, DC power adapter, the camera auto power function is deactivated whilst the camera is connected to the power supply.

Cybershot H7 focus problem

Things to check before you assume it is a mechanical issue-you can get vibration message if flash is disabled, be sure also that the macro mode is not enabled-this is very common on sony cameras to turn on by accident-flower button on camera will put in close up mode and you will get blur make sure no flower is present on lcd screen-if in macro press button on camera w/flower to turn off-also in menu you have continuous and monitor auto focus settings try changing one or the other and see what happens

Flash settings Sony DSC-H7

I had the same problem with my DSC-H9. The flash setting is set off when in BURST record mode. Go into MENU, scroll down to REC Mode, change it back to NORMAL.

Now go shoot someone or something... with your camera of course!!
