Cant open lock cover - Weiser Lock Powerbolt 1000 Lock

To open the battery cover, you need to first slide the upper part into its designated areas, and then once in, you can then push down the lower part of the battery cover in each cover to lock into place.

there are three locations for fuse panels the one under the hood use a screw driver and push in on the locking tab as you lift on the cover the others are on either end of the dash the end covers remove to access these

pull the plastic cover off the back of the door handle ,it covers the door lock

Locksmiths agree try replacing the batteries just slide open the battery cover located just below the keypad.
Insert a paper clip or pen point into the small hole in the cover. Push in while sliding cover to the right. Disconnect and remove the battery holder. Insert the 4-batteries as indicated.
reconnect the connector and put back the battery holder. Slide the cover back in place.

turn the electronic lock case to the right and remove. Insert four new batteries as indicated, replace the electronic lock case and turn to the left to reassemble.

grab a putty knife clips are on the sides near the door. door needs to be opened

Go into the back of the car to the tailgate. You will have to pull the inside cover off and inspect the rods that control the latches and the latch itself. Also lubricate everything with Slick 50 One Lube and reassemble after testing.

i take it its a new car to you make sure central locking is of and go to your filler and give it a push it should just spring open

This is usually from lack of use, try lubricating the locks with a teflon or graphite based lubricant. Hold the dust cover open and put some in the locks, also put some on the key and work it in and out, and twisting a little each way, it may take a couple of applications to free up the locks.

there is a lock release tab accessible from lower cover on bottom of lock asm. open cover and pull tab down. replace door lock asm.

The door lock has failed in the locked mode, only way to open door is to force it open.
Remove top cover, screws at rear , slide cover back away from you.
Down at the front right side you will see the lock, it is reddish brown in colour, with 3 wires attached.
Force a long handled screwdriver or similar between lock and cabinet front, and force the lock, you may have to break it, but it does not matter as it is faulty anyway.. The door will then open.
Remove the 2 screws holding the rest of the lock , and pull up with wires still attached, .
Transfer wires to new lock on the same connectios, and refit.
Test it, if it still does not work then you may have to fit a new door latch and or spring.
