I had this problem 4 weeks ago, and I emailed [email protected] (or [email protected], can't remember) and they got back to me 2 weeks after with a really nice reply, and sorted it out for me. Put my account back to normal, and gave me a new password.
They were absolutely lovely, and when I emailed them back to say thanks they even sent me another email saying 'no problem'.
Just email them and be patient :)

Facebook uses you email address as a username. This means that you can still login with the original email address and password even if your school has changed or deleted the email address.

In order to receive notifications from Facebook, you should update your contact email address to you new address by going to Settings > Account Settings (top left on the menu bar).

You can keep your old password :)

Well go into your facebook account using your old email address that you opened facebook with, when you get in there right on top of your home page or profile page there is a area that says account settings you should be able to go in there and change your email address to an email you are using now, If you have Trouble finding the little area that says account settings go to help pages in facebook and search in help: change email address, and it should tell you were to go to change just your email address. There are clear instructions on how to reset your password on Facebook. If you click on the FORGOT PASSWORD link, you will be able to put in your email address. It will send you an email with instructions on how to reset. If you don't get an email within a few minutes, use your other address.

Is this on the website, or are you accessing via a Mac/PC

If Mac, try this
1. Open Preferences -> Accounts
2. Click on dropdown next to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) and click "Edit SMTP Server List"
3. Change "User Name" to full email address and re-enter your password
4. Click OK.
The dropdown should no longer say (Offline)

Have you tried using another browser? If you are on IE, you can download Firefox and try it from there to see if that is the issue. A lot of times, reinstalling your browser (IE, Firefox etc) will help with this issue. Before you try to change your password, use another browser and try to log in from there. If it isnt taking it either; take these steps;

If you need to recover your password and change it;

https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery?service=mail

Enter your email address,

Click submit;

Enter captcha;

A message will be sent to your back up email you signed up to gmail with.

If you do not have access to that email any longer to have gmail send another password;

In order to proceed with resetting your password, you'll need to stop making login attempts. Please allow 24 hours since your last login attempt then visit the page again. Please note: accessing Gmail via POP, IMAP, mobile, or with other Google products is considered activity.

You'll now have a chance to answer your secret question.

Go back to the link i sent you at the top of this message;
Enter your username.
Click Submit.
Answer the captcha.
Click Submit.

If you're unable to answer your security question and you have a recovery email address on your account, a link will appear at the bottom of the secret question results page.

Please try to answer the secret question given. If you're still unable to answer the secret question and are sure you're the correct owner of the address; go to

If you don't have an alternate email address, or if you no longer have access to that account, please try to reset your password again after 24 hours. At that point, you'll be able to reset your password by answering the security question you provided when you created your account. Google will send you a text message with a recovery code in it.
The password change process will also show you a link to use the text code.

Google uses the security question for account recovery only after an account has been idle for 24 hours. They do this to prevent someone else from taking over your account.
If you're unable to answer your security question or access your recovery email account, Google will send you a link to a form to get a new password.

But, someone is really trying to have access to this mail ID of u....B'cos, when iwas logging in now to send you mail with details, i was asked for 'captcha' figure recognition, so...please take care of the security of the ID, as soon as u gain access
