SOURCE: Midland rechargeable battery packs won't recharge and vibrate

Hello batterbum, from the info you listed you have the right battiers & charger, with alkaline the radios work leads to wrong or a bad batch of Ni-MH battiers. Vibrations from a battery pack states too much current being drawn for battery capacity. Note: depleting a battery and recharging with a charger will place the battery in a false full charge state. Recharging a depleted battery with a DC power supply with current limit can reboot the battery to a 90% cycle. I suggest returning battiers for correct replacements, if they are correct 'by the book' ask for the highest in mAhr specs. Please inform me of your outcome. Good Luck

XTC-200 Midland camera not charging

Check the charger. And not every USB outlet can supply enough power to charge batteries. Then check the cable and the connectors, on both the charger and the camera. Something must stop the current to flow.

I bought 6 sets of Midland LXT 345 walkie-talkies for the teachers to use when they go out on the playground. Less than 1 year later several of them don't work. They keep them in their charges when...

The batteries have likely been damaged from being on the chargers too long. Try trading a known good battery into the non-working radios and see if it/they will work with a good battery. If so, replace your batteries, and then only put the radios on the charge when they need a charge, such as after the radios have been used 8-10 hours. Longterm charging can quickly age batteries. Life expectancy of a battery is 18-24 months with good care.

Best regards.

Can you leave a Motorola XPR 6350 radio turned on while in the impres charging base? Basically I would like to leave the radio on at all times to hear any traffic, but I do not want to damage or shorten...

The radios will work just fine while they are charging, but the charging process will take longer, and I recommend that you do not charge the radios for more than 12 hours at a time. My Midland radios sit in the charger base all the time, and I just push them down to engage the charging function.

Can i get replacement rechargeable battery packs

The best deal that I found on your batteries is on eBay, and you can follow this link to the sale:

If you're not an eBayer, you can also purchase the batteries here (for a bit more):

I have a pair of Midland GXT500 radios. One operates fine, the other seems to be slightly off-frequency, in both transmit and receive modes, including the NOAA weather channels. I've swapped battery packs...

The short answer is yes. The long answer is: The problem sounds like the reference oscillator has drifted off frequency. You need to take the radio to someone who can do this for you. Look for a local HAM operator and ask him who could do it for you. A service centre probably can't these days, as they really only swap things out these days.

Unless you know what you are doing, you are likely to render the radio into a recyclable item.

Midland rechargeable battery packs won't recharge and vibrate

You might contact Midland Radio Corp to see if they have a fix for your problem. If I had to give an educated guess I would say the batteries need jump started (which sometimes happens when they are new and too low of charge; or there is a problem where they contact the charger and they are not receiving a full charge; or they are defective. I am sure the factory would be happy to assist you in solving the issue.

Here is there info: http://www.midlandradio.com/contact_us.asp

Low battery icon on Midland LXT350 walkie-talkies

Your LXT350 is equipped for using an optional rechargeable NiMH battery pack which can be recharged by inserting the AC adapter into the radio charge jack, or with the optional desktop charger.

I would make sure the radio is off, then insert the charger. Charge only for the prescribed time (no more/no less) and remove from the charger.

Charge time is initially 24 hours. Charge time is about 12 hours thereafter. For maximum battery life, it is recommend charging the battery pack when the low battery icon comes on. Remove the radios from the charger when the charge time expires.
