My RCA f35755mb is stuck on channel 69 and wont change... ive tried unplugging the tv for a while and it still wont change and the menu button wont work or pop up... when i press the channel button up or down it flashes but wont change the channel background will just be fuzzy and crackle sound... and i dont have a remote to try...

After doing a little research, it looke like the front panel lock , can only be removed from the parental control menu using your remote. If your universal remote does not get you into the menu, see if you can borrow a friends rca remote long enough to get you into your menu & remove the fpa.

Usually the fix for that on a RCA or GE TV is to go into the menu (the button in on the front of the TV) and find channel settings and let the TV autoprogram itself. This should fix the issue.

this is the same type of problem happening with other rca models and I know it is the EPROM CHIP but why this is failing is either because of design flaw , dirty enviroment that they were made in , to much voltage or current to the chip or too much of a draw from the chip causing it to fail . Or even a random frequency from the IR sensor or its circut I'm still investigating and testing.
leave the tv unplugged for at least 3 weeks durring this time resolder any solder that don't look good , I did this and it lasted for about 6 months(always plugged in to the wall) before it started doing it again. model # 27v412t
