Connecting scanner how do i connect the printer to my laptop to use scanner

There are two ways to connect a shared printer to another PC: using Settings or Control Panel. Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Under Add printers & scanners, select Add a printer or scanner. Choosethe printer you want, and then select Add Device.

Newer printers use wps to connect to other devices. Open up your WiFi on your laptop, it should show your printer. It will have an address of 10.0.0.1 or close. Push the wps button on your printer. Your printer will give a couple minutes to connect your laptop. Connect laptop by clicking on connect in available printers.

Either the driver is corrupted or the scanner component is faulty.

Reinstall the driver for your device. If still a problem and the other functions work, but not the scanner, the scanner part is faulty.

• Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
• restart the computer
• try to download drivers from the website
• after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
• then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

the printer and scanner have separate tcp\ip address's
on copier panel check system default/counter key go to scanner and check ip address also make sure file manager is running on laptop

Ok try this, Uninstall the printer, install the drivers from the cd, follow the directions while installing the drivers and see if that works.
Do NOT connect the printer untill the software tells you to, this is important.
