Mine does the same thing even though I have the latest firmware update. Heres how I fixed it. Unplug it from your P.C. and flip your device over and using a small blunt object press the reset button. Your unit will shut down, plug it back into your PC and it will reboot you can now open it in windows explorer and from the internal storage file select format

You can delete folders, or right click on "internal storage" to delete everything on the device.

I am trying to delete songs from my MP3 player and it won't let me. Am I missing something to do this? It's an RCA Opal M4002A Model. I bought it a while ago and am wondering if I should have the driver...

Try this method, it works well...
Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

I need to knpw how to delete songs from M4002A

Usually with this model it will show up under My Computer as either a drive (for example E: drive) or the actual MP3 player device. Either way you should be able to double click on it and in there you will find the songs. You can select the ones you want and hit delete on your keyboard. If this does not work please let me know =).

Try reformatting your device, that should do the trick! Also, make sure that your drivers on your computer support that divice! Also, make sure your drivers are updated fully! Also, maybe you have a bad sync cord!

What song service supports rca opal m4002a mp3 player. napster doesn't work?

Not iTunes. Not Napster.
You could try Rhapsody's MP3 ONLY service - new!
Limewire works, but make sure you anti-virus program is up-to-date.

The key is to use Mp3 format only, and most music services have switched to WMA format.

RCA Opal M4002 MP3

Hello:

Maybe you can delete that song by connecting your MP3 to the computer or any pc that is available. Once you have connected, you can browse the file on the drive designated by the computer.

By using the computer you can add more songs or you can delete the song that is not necessary.

may this help..best regards, melnavz
