Depending on the version of HDMI standard, it may not transfer audio. Add a dedicated audio cable from the video game to TV. there should be an audio jack next to the HDMI.

SOURCE: Cant get HDMI input to work

Hello Kman69,
You have one of two most likely problem.
(1) You have a defective HDMI board. This is most likely the case with your set.
(2) You may need to do a software upgrade. This is not common with the Sony, but i have done my fair share of upgrade.

I have the board in stock, just in case you need it. The software is available (free) and is very easy to do.

Best regards
circuitcity

SOURCE: Samsung HDMI issue

Have you try to replace your HDMI cable?I recommend you to pick up a good Monster HD700 HDMI cable from a local retail store like best buy or circuit city.In case it isn't the cable problem, you could return it.
However, when you are a using the HDMI cable,it is normally either have both picture and sound or nothing at all.Are you sure you didn't hook up the audio OUTPUT from your TV back to a receiver input?
Or even an optical output from the TV to the receiver?

SOURCE: Rainbow color effect appears when Samsung LCD plays Wii or DVD

Hello, I have a question which video inputs are you using for your DVD and Wii connections? The reason I ask is because this sounds like video distortion cuased by noise. If possible can you send a picture of the screen when it has this problem and send which video ports are being used? If it is noise in the video you may have a saw filter problem, or a decoupling issue. In any event I'll know more once you send those pictures and which inputs you are using for your DVD and Wii. Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com [email protected]

SOURCE: samsung lns4041d sound doesn't work

1) Check out the on screen audio setup menu to see if the spekers are set to OFF.

2) Hook up a powered PC speakers to the Audio line output RCA jacks to see if you get the sound OK to isolate the problem to be the power amp or audio processor problems.

SOURCE: 46" LCD Samsung TV Model# LN-S4692D I have no picture

The back light inverter board may have gone out or it is not getting the 24vdc from the power supply module. Start checking for voltage feeding the inverter board.

I have a Samsung 46''B6000 tv hooked up to a samsung Blu ray player B-1590 via HDMI cable. During the course of watching a BR disc, the volume had to be increased all the way up to 100 (max), to be able to...

This happens on our samsung too with some dvd's.
It is not the tv's fault (in my case) but have to turn the volume button on the dvd remote up full first then adjust from the tv remote as required.

NO sound on HDMI3 port and when playing Blu-Ray DVD's the screen is pink

Go to the samsung website, and find out how to upgrade the firmware for your TV. You will probably need a portable usb memory stick to do so (if your TV is equipped with one). HDMI is an evolving technology, and firmware upgrades can resolve many of these quirky issues.

Here's a possibility from http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faqs/supportFaqList.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=LN-S4696D&dType=D&mType=UM&vType=R&prd_ia_cd=02010100&acc_ia_fl=&disp_nm=LN-S4696D
Which Samsung LCD TVs Have The HDMI 1.3 Interface? spacer.gif Of the LN-T series Samsung LCD TVs, those models whose last two digits are 61, 65, 66, 69, 71, or 81 (for example, LN-T4071F or LN-T466F) have the HDMI 1.3 interface.
Samsung LCD TVs with HDMI 1.3 interfaces also have HDMI-CEC (HDMI - Consumer Electronics Control). For information about CEC, click HERE.
For information about individual Samsung LCD TVs with HDMI 1.3 interfaces and HDMI-CEC, click HERE. When the Samsung LCD TV web page appears, select the TV model you want information about by clicking the drop down list under Product Finder on the left side of the page.
Though other series of Samsung LCD TVs (LN-R, LN-S, etc.) have HDMI connections, none have models with the HDMI 1.3 interface.
