Make sure you are on the correct input on the television and that the cable box is on. Do this manually. Hopefully you will get picture and sound again. If yes, then check the cable company website for the remote codes for your television manufacturer and the instructions for programming. Often times there are multiple codes for each brand so be patient.

SEIKI SE50FY28 !! Tv powers on to a blue light but has no picture !!

Hello,

I would try the TV inputs. Tv/Video or the Source button on your tv remote. Select each input to see if picture comes on. If you have checked all cables and Inputs, I would check the wire from the TV to the cable box.

The power light is on but no picture comes on. Screen is black. Also no sound. What is wrong?

Check on the cable connection between TV and cable box, secure tightly hook up. Then check input setting for HDMI - normally HDMI 1/2/3 , then "COAX" use channel 3 or 4/ You can also try to press arrow down button until you reach a channel. If you are using cable remote try to also check the input setting using original Tv remote control. Then try to powercycle the cable box and Tv conenction.

Hullo ... I have erroneously used the TV remote to change channels, where I should have used the TelstraClear remote to do this. I now get a "No Signal" box on the television and am unable to...

dana_derek,

The TV is not on the correct input setting or channel. Depending on your TV model and the receiver, you have a cable coming from the receiver to the TV. That cable could be a coax (screws in), RCA (yellow, white, red tips), component (green, blue, red, white, red tips), or HDMI cable. For all cables except the coax, the TV should be on an input setting. With your TV remote, you should have a source, input, or TV/Video button. Press that button and it should bring up a list of input settings. Each time you press that button it will scroll you down the list. Try each setting until you find the picture. I hope this helps.

TV only works on HD stations

Your TV has an SD/ED component input and an HD component input. You are using the HD input. It can only accept HD signals. You need to correct the settings in you cable box. You need to "fix" the video output so that it converts everything to HD. If you have a motorola box, you can usually turn the box off and press the menu button to access the cable box setup menu. Set the 4:3 override to Stretch or Full. If you need more help with this, post back with more information: cable provider, cable box used. I hope this was of some assistance.

TV & DVD HookUp (No Box) Can't get picture

As far as I know, my Go Video machine when there was no box involved...

The cable came from the wall to the IN of the Go Video box. Then another cable coming from the OUT of the video box and to the IN to the TV. TV should be on channel 3. As far as I can remember, I don't need to push the TV/VCR button, but instead, have to channel down to below channel 2 on the TV to the LINE/INPUT selection. Once you go there, and the Go-Video machine is on, you should be able to see a clear picture.

You'll push the TV/VCR button if you want to toggle back and forth from the VCR picture to the TV picture (which will be technically blank since it's on the 'line input selection.)

Hope that helps.

Cant get mono off tv screen ..

The TV set itself will probably have a button that is marked either "Video," "Input" "Source" or "TV/VCR" - I would need to have your exact television model # to be sure. Make sure the cable box is on. Press the Video/Input/Source/TV/VCR etc button and see if your cable picture reappears on one of the source channels. If your television is connected to the cable box with a standard coaxial cable, then Ch.3 or Ch. 4 would be the right choice. If you have a digital cable box, however, the cable is probably going to be on an auxillary channel. If you give me the exact model # of your TV, and the type of wires that run from your cable box to your TV, I can give you more precise instructions. Good luck!

Problem programming Zenith Digital TV Converter DTT901 remote.

Be sure that your TV is set to channel 3 or 4 if you are using the RF cable or Video 1, etc if using the Audio/Video cable.  The Installation  Guide should appear.  The "improved" picture that you are seeing is simply the analog throughput, not the digital conversion.
