Have a white 1" wide white bar running from the top to the bottom of the screen on my Toshiba Satellite M65-S909. How do i fix it? In Device Mgr, the VGA Video Controller is not shown & I have been unable to find the correct driver. Reinstalled Intel Integrated Display Driver for windows XP (sm65videoix). You will need to go to the Toshiba WEB site, to the support/download page, search for the video driver for Windows XP for your model laptop and install it on your laptop. There may be several version, download the latest.

You have to pick your model number

What is a screencard? I think they mean display driver, try uninstalling Display Adapter and then reinstalling sometime fixes problems.
