Laptop crashes i have an acer aspire 5720, which is one and a half year old. the problem is, it keeps crashing when ever i play any large game(eg:cricket 07), first the game gets slow and it eventually crashes. i tried master restore, and some other tricks as well, but none helps, can any of you guys help me plz. thank you.

If you mean it keeps restarting, there is a very good chance your hard disk suffered a head crash.

this like the over heat section is your processor, not your bios
open your laptop, the replace your processor fan with new one

Go to Start > All programs > Windows Update (or Microsoft Update). Do a Custom scan, and install it from there.

This problem is due to a failing hard drive I believe. When the virus scan is working you get a clicking sound then it crashes. Clicking sounds from your laptop while running scans on the hard drive are bad. The first thing to do is to get your irreplaceable files backed up then contact a service professional to get the drive replaced. If it is a reputable service person they should be able to clone the drive over to a new drive with no major issues. Be sure to insist on your old drive back. Even though it may have issues, my guess is that you still have personal information you would not want someone else to get hold of.

Have you blown out the cooling vents and fan? Do this first. That will take care of the hardware end. Now, what OS are you running. If it is XP, left click in the tool bar and pull up your taks manager. You can see what is hogging your cpu if that is the problem and fix accordingly. Hope this helps.

your LCD panel is damaged, if it is only a year old it should be under warranty, it needs to be repalced.
