Have you tried removing the paper and reinserting it? It's possible the paper is caught on one of the sensors, so it thinks it's out of paper.

Also, try opening up the lid and make sure there isn't a piece of paper stuck between the rollers. Sometimes inkjet printers will pull a second sheet in while they're printing, and that causes it to jam and not print again until that sheet is removed.

Open up the lid and check for any packing materials - spacer foam, tape, plastic sheets used to keep dust out... often times these things will be put in the printer to keep it safe during shipping, and if you overlook one, it can cause problems.

Poor photo printing quality with new color cartridge

Shaking these cartridges does nothing except give you a little exercise. If this is a brand new HP cartridge you are having problems with I would return it to the store you purchased it from. HP brand cartridges should not give you these problems right out of the box. The print defects you are seeing are due to a dried up or clogged print head. If you like you can try hydrating the print head on a water soaked paper towel until the ink starts flowing, but there's a risk you will cross contaminate the colors.

I have the same issue - did you ever get it resolved?

Two possible causes...corrupt software or empty ink cartridge. there is usually an area on the printer menu for maintenance where you can check the status of the ink supply. replace any empty cartridges. Clean the print heads (wipe with alcohol rag) if they are not part of the replaced ink cartridges. If you're still having the problem...reinstall the printer software.

Prints only one picture - no choice for which picture to print.

You have to make the selections of what pic to print on your camera and send them to the printer.

Helpppppppppp

Jan. 12/08

I have same printer. No manual. Guess it's too simple and the creators don't think general public need instructions! I am using a Canon S1 camera. My camera screen said to press the "SET" button to print the picture that I had on my camera screen. It worked for me!!! Good luck. I'm guessing printer only prints from a camera, hence it's portability.

Instructions manual for Lexmark Polaroid p310 photo printer

http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/310/eng/ug.pdf

This link will take you to a manual for the Lexmark 310/315 series. It doesn't show the P310 Photo Printer exactly but the information can be helpful. On Page 15 is tells you how to get the printer to print exactly the picture you want. You need to refer to the instructions that came with your camera for PictBridge connection and usage. It helped me.
