I cooked chicken and vegetables for approx 25 mins. Worked perfectly. About 40 mins later I went to turn on the machine to reheat a meal and it would not turn on at the power button. There was a flash of orange behind the panel, but then nothing. I pulled out the power plug, turned it back on, pressed the power button and the touch panel lit up for a few seconds then went blank again. The machine won't turn on again.

I PUT MY TV IN THE SHOP AND THEY REPALCED THE SYSTEM CONTROL CIRCUIT. MY UNDERSTANDING WAS THE EPROM. THE PERSON I GOT THE TV FROM HAD IT IN THE SHOP TWICE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM BEFORE I GOT IT. KNOW THE REMOTE WORKS WITH NO PROBLEM.
SOURCE: Screen's gone blank and the green power button flashes intermittently
This is the way how to examine
what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen stopped working, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or
not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best
angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or
any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside
screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot
see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you
have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It
may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board
because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a
technician to do so.
Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,

On the off chance that your TV is having the same problem that mine had, read here for my repair.

SOURCE: Set will not power on.. Blinks red LED 8 times
It's a power supply related problem.
The flashing 8 times is a trouble code. A Service Manual for your TV model will have the info on the codes. It could be a bad capacitor or a transformer on the power supply board. If you have some electronic experience, you can find a Service Manual for your TV over the internet. Cost about under $20.
