Hi,it can be caused by Dirt on the keypads or the IC that controls the functioning of the keypad.

Clean up keypad by opening the phone, After cleaning, if still not functioning, you will need to replace keypad IC.
Contact nearest skilled personnel on nokia phones to assist youin replacing IC.

u need to change the key pad until then it wont work.


two keypad IC's under the keypad and next to the keypad connector unfortunately all the keypad points are linked to the IC's and so even if one key doesn't work it is related to these IC"s in question UNLESS the keypad connector is dirty or sticky please do service your phone or take it to a reliable technician

it is a key pad ic fault change it

in ur nokia 5200 may be problem from three places.
1- upper p.c.b.
2-belt
3-keypad i.c.
first u have to change belt to check the belt is ok or doesn't if the prolbem till now u have to change ur up side p.c.b. if the problem still now then u have to change ur keypad i.c.

When this kind of problems occurs ur CP''s Flex Cable* is the faulty part in this case.

Solution is : replace the Flex Cable of ur 5200 (its a piece of cake)

Folllow me

1/ purchase the part click here.
2/ take the phone apart using the screwdriver Number 6 for nokia Cp's.
3/locate the flex cable connectors on both mother boards LCD and Keypad.
4/replace the old one with the fresh one .

PS: a flex cable of Nokia 5200/5300 lives about 100 000 slides
so slide the phone just when u gonna need it!!!

5/close the phone after making sure all connectios are ok..

have you tried opening your nokia 5200? if your confident and have the right tools, try cleaning the keypad of your phone, at the same time try realigning the keypads. however, you can refer your problem to a competent technician.

fix it to the pc, use the pc anti virus n scan it, everything will be fine. wen u plug the cable from phone to pc, select data mood. then u start scanning the memorycard..
