LG Dishwasher LD-1420T1 Tripping the main Power Board

LG Dishwasher LD-1420T1 was emptying the last off the water at the end of its cycle when it tripped the main Power Board! I have then tested that it wasn't the socket, I had emptied all the remaining water out the bottom off the machine and pulled it out and seen no signs of water leaking out of it anywhere. I tipped it slightly to one side and then soaked up the water that ran into the bottom off the machine from tipping it but still it trips the main power board. Its only been used for the past 3 years and hasn't been a great machine, but it's kept clean and nothing is clogged in it, the power button on the front off the machine has been half broken for months but has never caused it to stop working! any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Looks like the pump motor is drawing lot of current and tripping the circuit breaker. Need to check if there is any water inside it. Or simply the capacitor is leaky and causes motor to draw current.

See this part.

Dishwasher LD-1420T1 tripping power in the house?

Okay, this could be tricky because depending on who installed it, they might have wired into it. Check your garbage disposal and if you have anything else plugged in nearby, check that wiring too. Some installers have a nasty issue when it comes to hard wiring. They don't like doing it. So instead of hard-wiring your garbage disposal, they'll cut it in to your dishwasher. If your garbage disposal or anything else is wired to your dishwasher the load on the washer and the current the washer is using is too high. That's going to trip your breakers. You should probably contact an electrician and have them check the breaker box to make sure it's wired correctly. You may need to upgrade the breaker or have the dishwasher circuit upgraded. If it's an old house, it could be anything but first, check to see that nothing is wired into your dishwasher. You can tell if you have a few switches in the same outlet and turn them off. If your garbage disposal won't work and the DW won't either, then you have a wiring issue. That's the easiest way to start.

Our 3 month old machine started making a high pitched squeel the other day during the wash cycle. Now it has started on the rinse cycle on the Quick setting. Model LD149.

I share your frustration with the same machine. Mine is approx 3-4 months old and within the first month i had a leak at the base of the machine which was fixed under warranty. The following month the machine started leaving water in the base of the unit after the wash cycle was complete. LG claim it is an electronic fault in the circuit board. I have refused repair and am now claiming a replacement with them. I don't feel it is acceptable for a machine that's only 3months old to give problems such as these.

Shortly after cycle starts, a whirring sound starts, is this a problem with the motor?

with LG dishwashers: after starting, 1st, DW pumps out any remaining water, 2nd, DW fill fresh water, 3rd, main wash motor starts, which is normally a whirring sound. (If you here grinding or rattling, then you have a problem.)

Bought a LG LD 05AW2 benchtop dishwasher second

More than likely it is the electronic control board.

Water/wash cycle doesn't start after initial drain?

main control board or water float valve stuck in the "full" mode. Check inside dishwasher, generally in the left front corner and you should see round plastic devise that doesn't look like it does anything, that should be the float assembly, you will more than likely have to get to it thru the bottom under machine. It should have a pin that drops down to push the micro relay on, in turn, turns water valve on. If you can jumper relay just long enough to see if water valve comes on then replace relay. If float is working well and relay works then you have main board prob.

Common prob with this machine is the use of too much powder soap, causing the floats to have in the "up" position.

Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

Hi,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Good Luck!!!

I have a lg dishwasher ld-14aw1over flow

On an LG LD-14AW1, three is a float sensor on the left hand side of the dishwasher, behing the water outlet port.
It is the sensor that tells the dishwasher to stop filling just before the wash or rinse cycle begins.
A service call is needed or post back here is you want help replacing it.

LG DISHWASHER WORKS BUT VERY NOISY MODLE:LD-2040WH

The main water pump on this model does not last long. The water seal between pump and motor starts to leak that result in the adjacent motor bearing corroding and eventually failing, resulting in excessive noise. Later the water leak becomes so bad that it triggers the "E I" water leakage display and prevents it from completing the program. The pump and motor is sold as one unit and the whole unit must be replaced. I have tried to replace the faulty bearing and repacked the rubber seal with silicon grease but with no success. If anyone have repaired the water seal successfully please let us know.

LG Dishwasher Model LD-1403W gets stuck and stops on rinse cycle leaving water in bottom of machine. I have stripped it down and emptied it, made sure filters etc are clean but to no avail

LG Dishwasher LD 1403W. We have cleaned it and when it gets to the heating cycle after running right through to nearly the end, it trips all the electricity and stops everything. Its only 3 years old and hubby thinks its the heating element but between $200=$300 to fix.
